1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Budou app operated byQi Yuan ("we", "us"), and explains how we handle information when providing drawing, coloring, artwork saving and sharing features for children.
We ask that a parent or guardian read and understand this policy together with the child before use, and supervise the child's use after agreeing to it.
2. How we handle data
The app's core features work offline. We do not require registration or sign-in, and we do not ask for names, phone numbers, email addresses, identity documents or any other identifying information. The app integrates no advertising, behavioural analytics or third-party tracking SDKs.

None of the above is uploaded to our servers by the app, so it is not data we collect from the device. The App Store, iOS itself, or other services you actively choose may process information under their own rules; that processing is outside our control.
3. System permissions
Photo library (add-only)
When you tap "Save to Photos", the app requestsadd-only access to your photo library in order to write the current artwork to it. This permission does not allow the app to read, scan or upload any other photos.
Declining does not affect drawing, coloring or managing artwork on the device — it only means artwork cannot be saved to the system photo library. You can change this permission at any time in iOS Settings.
5. Storage and deletion
- Artwork, coloring progress and preferences are stored in the app's local storage on the device.
- You can delete individual pieces from the artwork screen, or clear all artwork in the app's Settings.
- Uninstalling the app normally removes the artwork, progress and settings held in its local storage.
- Copies already saved to the system photo library or shared through a third-party service are not removed by deleting them in the app or uninstalling it; you need to delete those in the Photos app or the relevant service yourself.
6. Children's privacy
This app is intended for children. We follow the principle of data minimisation: children are not asked to create an account, and we do not collect identity information, contact details, location, device identifiers or behavioural analytics. We show no personalised advertising and perform no cross-app tracking.
Children under the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction (13 in the United States under COPPA; 13–16 in the EEA under GDPR; 14 in mainland China) should use this app with a parent or guardian present. Parents and guardians should help children use the save and share features appropriately, and should not allow children to disclose sensitive personal information through artwork or third-party sharing channels.
If a parent or guardian believes a child has improperly disclosed personal information through features of this app, please contact us using the details at the end of this policy. For anything within our control, we will assist in accordance with applicable law once the situation is verified.
7. Security
We protect privacy by processing as little data as possible, preferring on-device storage, and requesting only the minimum permission a feature needs. Please keep your device secure and use the system lock. Any processing that results from you actively passing artwork to a third party through the share sheet is that third party's responsibility under its own rules.
8. Your rights
Users and their guardians can manage this information by:
- viewing or deleting locally stored artwork on the artwork screen;
- clearing all artwork in the app's Settings;
- withdrawing or changing the photo library permission in iOS Settings;
- uninstalling the app to remove information held in its local storage;
- emailing us at the address below with questions or privacy requests.
Because the app has no accounts and uploads no user data to our servers, we generally cannot look up, export or delete server-side data for a specific user — there is none.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app's features, our data practices, or applicable law change. An updated policy will carry a new "last updated" date. If a change materially affects users' rights, we will notify users or their guardians by appropriate means. We will not reduce the level of protection this policy gives to children's personal information without guardian consent.
